Valentine’s day always seems to come around so quickly at the beginning of the year. I often find myself scrambling for ideas or gifts to buy! 😩 There can be so much pressure to create a big romantic night for you and your loved one, however Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to feel so intense. It can be just as meaningful if you’re looking for a chill experience this year. Here are a few that you can have this Valentine’s day!

1. Stay In For A Dinner + Movie
What’s better than a chill night in?! They say food is the way to a person’s heart so throw down a great dinner and put on a movie to spend some time with one another. You can even take a virtual cooking class. Make a meal you’ve never tried before or an all time favorite. Don’t forget to pair your meal with a great wine!
2. Have a game night
Games are always a good time even with a little dash of competition. Pull out the Chinese Checkers (an all time favorite of mine) or Scrabble. Or pull out a deck of cards and play classics like SPIT or something more simple like Go Fish.
3. Conversation and Chill
Share an evening of deep/funny questions using a deck of question cards like these! There are so many options online and so you can find a deck suitable to you. It’s a great way to learn more about your partner and maybe fall a little bit more in love or like. 😜
4. Go ice skating
If you like adventure, ice skating can be a fun way to connect with your Valentine. Who says skating can’t be chill?😊 Holding hands and sharing laughs can help break the ice if you’re recently dating!
5. Breakfast In Bed
Sometimes we aren’t able to spend an evening with our Valentine, so breakfast in bed is a good way to get some R and R cuddle time in. Grab a breakfast tray, lounge in bed, and enjoy a slow morning together.
6. Take a Hike or a walk in a park
Get some fresh air! A hike or walk in the park lends itself for a good exercise and bonding moment as you enjoy the scenery.

What better way to connect and get intimate then by giving each other massages. You can purchase body scrubs and oils to set the ambiance or use a massager to let loose and relax.

Making art is one of the many ways I love relaxing and so pairing an artistic activity, such as painting, with a few drinks could lend itself to a lovely evening. You can purchase a painting by number kit keeping things simple.
9. Local hotel getaway
Sometimes we need a quick change of scenery. Searching for a local hotel to spend the night might be just the thing! A nice dinner followed by pampering and room service could make the evening feel easy and like a mini getaway.
10. Set a bath
Light a few candles, sprinkle a few rose petals, and grab the champagne. Setting a soothing bath is the ultimate activity to ease a tense week on Valentine’s day. Buy some bath bombs or bubbles to get the mood going.
11. Picnic
An indoor or outdoor picnic could spruce things up! Get your favorite cheeses and wine or other favorite snacks. Just lay out and enjoy each other’s company.
12. Take an online mixology class
Learn how to make your favorites or venture off into unknown territory and try something new. Either way have fun and enjoy the cocktails!
13. Bake something sweet!
Spend some time with one another by challenging yourselves to a bake off or simply make your favorite dessert to enjoy. You can purchase complete baking kits that lend itself to a easy fun experience.
14. DIY Gifts and Sweet Love Notes
Create something sentimental and meaningful for your loved one. Exchange heartfelt notes or letters showing how much you care about one another. It’s the simple things! It will sure grow you closer. 🙂
